ITEM DESCRIPTION
Star Wars Revenge of the Jedi Press Kit with envelope.
This is a promotional press kit that announced the world premiere of the movie, "Revenge of the Jedi" that was slated to come out on May 27, 1983. The date was changed to coincide with the date of the 1977 release of the original Star Wars. It's been published that George Lucas changed the title of the movie because he decided that vengeance was not the way of the Jedi.  This press kit has the first publication of three original paintings by Ralph McQuarrie. This kit was issued to retailers in order to explain marketing preparation and to generate excitement for the movie.
The promotional catalog comes with an envelope that is white card stock. The catalog itself has glossy card stock pages, with a tissue paper fly leaf page and is bound with a plastic spiral. The envelope has creases and holes on the flap that closes the envelope as seen in the photos provided. There is dirt marks and some fading around the edges. There is a small tear on the top right hand corner of the face of the envelope. The press kit itself is in good condition. It is bright white with very few scratches or marks. The tissue paper may be slightly off-white from age. The holes where the spirals attach are circular with no enlarging or tears. The last page has fold out act work.
