    Description

    Moldavite is a  tektite formed when a meteorite impact melts soil.  This particular tektite comes from the  Czech Republic.
    I buy the best moldavite I can, which yields the best faceted ( Cut ) stones.  I faceted this stone with a Pear shape design.
    Because moldavite has a hardness of 5.5 it is best used in a pendant.
    Or it could be used in a ring that you would not use every day to avoid scratches.
    Because of the cost of the moldavite rough the price of the stone reflects that cost and my time faceting this stone.
    This stone is very clear compared to what I see in Czech  Moldavite  this is a very high quality
    stone
    ( mostly free of a lot of inclusion w/ some  bubbles)
    and this Gem's  design is from charts giving correct R.I index and Angles of Tektite stones which will give more life (scintillation)
    to the Gemstone.
